Therapeutic Indications Traditionally used to facilitate the body's internal excretory processes. This medicine is made as a coated tablet and sold in packs of 180. Directions for Use For adult use only. Take 1 or 2 tablets before each of the 3 daily main meals, or whenever you experience digestive discomfort. Dissolve in a glass of water. Do not use for more than 2 or 3 weeks. Precautions for Use – Use with caution if you have a bile duct obstruction or suffer from severe liver disease. – If diarrhoea or abdominal pain develops, discontinue use immediately and consult your doctor. – Contains sucrose. Do not use if you are fructose-intolerant or have glucose-galactose malabsorption or a sucrase-isomaltase deficiency. – Contains parabens (parahydroxybenzoates). May cause allergic reaction (which may be delayed). If in doubt, consult your doctor or pharmacist. If you are pregnant or breast-feedingYou are advised NOT to use this product during pregnancy. If you discover that you are pregnant while using this medicine, consult your doctor – only they are qualified to decide whether or not you should continue treatment. Ingredients Per tablet: Artichoke (dried, aqueous leaf extract): 200 mg Magnesium trisilicate, pre-gelatinised corn starch, talc, magnesium stearate, shellac, rosin, gelatine, sucrose, calcium carbonate, colour dispersion*, carnauba wax, polysorbate 80. *Composition: Sucrose; yellow, black and brown iron oxides (E172); methylparaben (E218), ethylparaben (E214). Excipients with known effect: Parabens (methylparaben, ethylparaben), sucrose. 1 tablet contains 0.08 g of sucrose. Possible Side Effects As with all medicines, Chophytol tablets can have one or more undesirable effects on the body. Some people are more resistant than others.Possible effects include: – diarrhoea (if taken in excessive doses); and – urticaria (hives), due to the presence of parabens (parahydroxybenzoates). If you experience any undesirable effect(s) not listed on this page, or if the effect(s) is/are serious, consult your doctor or pharmacist.
