Product Indication This folic acid (vitamin B9) medicine can be used: – to prevent birth defects caused by improper closure of the neural tube, in children borne by women with no concerning medical history and who want to conceive; and – to treat folic acid deficiency. Dosage Take 1 tablet a day. If used to prevent birth defects, treatment should start ideally 4 weeks prior to conception and continue for 8 weeks thereafter. Ingredients Active Ingredient Per tablet: Folic acid: 0.4 mg Other Ingredients: Microcrystalline cellulose, pre-gelatinised corn starch, magnesium trisilicate, magnesium stearate, anhydrous colloidal silica Warnings and Precautions for Use If in doubt, ask your doctor or pharmacist.
