Daflon 500 mg is a veinotonic (a medicine that increases vein tone and strengthens the minor blood vessels). It is recommended for treating:
– problems with venous circulation (such as heavy legs, chronic venous insufficiency, pains, restless legs, nocturnal cramps, oedema and poor distribution of nutrition by the blood)

Indication
Daflon 500 mg is a phlebotrope: it increases the tone of the veins and the resistance of small blood vessels. It is indicated in: - the treatment of venous circulation disorders (heavy legs, venous insufficiency, pain, impatience, nocturnal cramps, edema, trophic disorders), - the treatment of acute attacks of hemorrhoidal disease, hemorrhoids, - suggested in the basic treatment of hemorrhoidal disease (pain, bleeding, scratching, etc.).
Dosage
Oral route. You can combine Daflon with the new Cedralex light leg cream.
Always take the dose recommended by your doctor. If in doubt, consult your doctor or pharmacist. Daflon 500 tablets should be absorbed with meals. - In the treatment of venous circulation disorders and as a basic treatment for hemorrhoidal disease: take 2 tablets of Daflon 500 per day with meals. - In the treatment of a hemorrhoidal crisis, take 6 tablets per day for 4 days, then 4 tablets per day for the following 3 days, then take 2 tablets per day on the following days if necessary.
Your doctor will tell you how long to use DAFLON 500 mg. Do not stop your treatment prematurely. Do not take this medicine for more than 3 months without consulting your doctor.
Composition
The active substance is: Purified, micronized flavonoid fraction (500 mg) comprising 450 mg of diosmin and 50 mg of flavonoids expressed as hesperidin.
The other ingredients are: Carboxymethyl starch sodium, microstalline cellulose, gelatin, magnesium stearate, talc. Film coating: titanium dioxide (E 171), glycerol, sodium laurysulfate, macrogol 6000, hypromellose, yellow iron oxide (E 172), red iron oxide (E 172), magnesium stearate

A healthy lifestyle is the basis of the treatment of venous circulation disorders. Do not take Daflon 500 for more than 3 months without consulting your doctor.
Pregnancy and breast feeding
Ask your doctor or pharmacist for advice before taking any medicine. Tell your doctor if you are pregnant or want to have a child. As a precaution, it is not recommended to use DAFLON 500 mg during the first three months of pregnancy. Postnatal studies in animals have shown no anatomical abnormalities or behavioral disturbances in the young during the lactation period.
