Description

The Bergamotier is a 4 to 5-meter-tall fruit tree resembling miniature oranges. It was discovered by Christopher Columbus on the Canary Islands and introduced in Italy, today the first producing country. The essential oil, yellow/green in color, has a characteristic fresh aroma. Expensive because of its low yield, it is widely used in perfumery and as a flavoring for teas.
