Description

SEDINAX, film-coated tablet is an herbal medicine used for the relief of mild nervous tension and sleep disorders.

Usage Tips

- For the relief of mild nervous tension, a tablet up to three times daily.

- For the relief of sleep disorders, a tablet half an hour to one hour before bedtime, preceded if necessary by taking a tablet during the evening.

Do not take more than 4 tablets per day.

The tablets are to be swallowed whole with a little water, without chewing them.

A continuous intake of this medication for 2 to 4 weeks is recommended in order to obtain an optimal effect.

If symptoms persist or worsen after 2 weeks of treatment, please consult your doctor.

Precautions for use

Tell your doctor or pharmacist if you are taking, have recently taken or might take any other medicines. Taking SEDINAX film-coated tablets is not recommended if you are taking synthetic sedatives.

If you are pregnant or breast-feeding, think you may be pregnant or are planning to have a baby, ask your doctor or pharmacist for advice before taking this medicine. In the absence of sufficient data to rule out any adverse effects during pregnancy and lactation, use of this medicinal product is not recommended during these periods.

This medicinal product may affect the ability to drive and use machines. Avoid driving and using machines as long as its effect persists.

Composition

The active substance is valerian (Valeriana officinalis L) dry extract.

Each tablet contains 500 mg of valerian dry extract, equivalent to 2 g - 3 g of valerian root.

Extraction solvent: ethanol 60% V/V. 

The other components are:

- Tablet core: microcrystalline cellulose, anhydrous calcium hydrogen phosphate, pregelatinized starch, colloidal anhydrous silica, magnesium stearate,

- Tablet coating: Hypromellose, stearic acid, microcrystalline cellulose, black iron oxide (E172).
