Betadine 1% - Mouthwash - Cooper - 200 ml

Description

This medicine is a ready-to-use antiseptic solution (containing iodine) for gargling or as a mouthwash. It is indicated for the local adjunctive treatment of mouth infections or for post-operative care following oral surgery.

You should consult your doctor if you do not feel any improvement or if you feel worse after 5 days.

Directions for use

This medicine is for adults and children over 6 years of age.

Use BETADINE 1%, gargle/mouthwash solution 2 to 4 times a day.

· Fill the measuring cup with the gargle or mouthwash solution up to the 15 mL mark.

· Rinse your mouth or gargle with this solution for ½ minute and spit it out.

· Rinse the measuring cup thoroughly after each use.

· Follow your dentist’s advice.

This medicine must not be used for more than 5 consecutive days

Precautions for use

The iodine contained in this medicine can pass through the mucous membranes and enter the systemic circulation (see section 4 – What are the possible side effects?). When using this medicine in the oropharynx, take care to avoid aspiration of the product into the airways, as this may lead to complications such as lung infection. This medicine contains terpenoid derivatives. If you have a history of epilepsy, whether past or recent, inform your doctor.

· The other ingredients are: 85% glycerol, 96% ethanol, eucalyptol, levomenthol, sodium saccharin, citric acid monohydrate, disodium phosphate dihydrate, sodium hydroxide, potassium iodate, purified water.
