Cetirizine 10 mg – Allergic rhinitis – Chronic urticaria – EG Labo – 7 lozenges

Description

CETIRIZINE EG Labo is a medicine used to treat allergies. In adults and children aged 6 years and over, CETIRIZINE EG LABO CONSEIL is indicated for:

· the treatment of nasal and ocular symptoms of seasonal or perennial allergic rhinitis;

· the treatment of symptoms of chronic urticaria (chronic idiopathic urticaria).

Medical advice is recommended for chronic idiopathic urticaria.

Directions for use

Adults and adolescents over 12 years of age: The recommended dose is 10 mg once daily, i.e. 1 tablet. This medicine is available in other forms that may be more suitable for children; ask your doctor or pharmacist.

Children aged 6 to 12 years: The recommended dose is 5 mg twice daily, i.e. half a tablet twice daily.

Other forms of this medicine may be more suitable for use in children; ask your doctor or pharmacist.

Precautions

If you have kidney problems, ask your doctor for advice; if necessary, you may need to take a lower dose. Your doctor will determine the appropriate dosage. If you have difficulty urinating (due to spinal cord problems or bladder or prostate problems), ask your doctor for advice. If you have epilepsy or are at risk of seizures, consult your doctor

Pregnancy and breastfeeding

If you are pregnant or breastfeeding, think you may be pregnant or are planning a pregnancy, consult your doctor or pharmacist before taking this medicine. CETIRIZINE EG LABO CONSEIL should be avoided during pregnancy. Accidental use during pregnancy is not expected to have any harmful effects on the foetus. However, this medicine should only be taken if necessary and after consulting a doctor. Cetirizine passes into breast milk. Therefore, you must not take CETIRIZINE EG LABO whilst breastfeeding without first consulting your doctor.

Composition

· The active substance is: Cetirizine dihydrochloride................................................................................ ............... 10 mg Per lozenge.

· The other ingredients are: Betadex (contains glucose), povidone, sodium cyclamate, powdered cellulose, monosodium citrate, microcrystalline cellulose, magnesium stearate, apple flavouring (contains maltodextrin, amongst other ingredients).
