Burn & Superficial Wounds Dressings - Waterproof - Box of 6

Description

The URGO Burns Waterproof tulle contains lipidocolloid technology (TLC), a unique combination of hydrocolloid particles and petroleum jelly. This formula relieves pain and promotes healing.

1- Non-stick tulle: does not adhere to the wound and allows a painless removal.

Recommendations for use

Must be applied by an adult for those under 16 years. In the case of a burn: immediately put the burn under cold (but not icy) water and keep it there for 15 minutes to limit the extension of the burn. In case of a blister, do not pierce it.

In all cases:

1. Clean your hands thoroughly with soap and water. Clean the wound with water or saline. Disinfect the wound and its periphery with an alcohol-free antiseptic solution; in the case of a burn, never use colored eosin-type antiseptics. Rinse with water or saline.

2. Using a sterile compress, carefully dry the lesion and its perimeter. Stop any bleeding by compressing.

3. Open the bag and take out the dressing. The dressing must be used as soon as the bag is opened.

4. Be careful when applying the dressing not to touch the adhesive part with the fingers and make sure to center the compress (white part) on the lesion: Remove the 1st protective fin; apply while smoothing the dressing towards the edges: to avoid creating folds and tensions on the skin and on the dressing. Remove the 2nd wing by proceeding in the same way.

Frequency of change:

Renew the application, according to this manual, after 24 hours then every 48 hours until healing. Also renew:

- If the compress looks wet after showering

- If the compress is saturated with blood or exudates

Removal of the dressing:

- Gently remove the dressing.

- If gel remains on the wound after removal of the dressing, rinse with water.

Composition

Waterproof and transparent adhesive backing, thick absorbent pad, lipido-colloid tulle, non-adhesive and aerated, made of a weft impregnated with hydrocolloid particles and vaseline.
