Viatris Paracetamol Council 1000 mg, Pain and Fever, 8 Tablets Setable

Description

Paracetamol is an analgesic (relieves pain) and an antipyretic (lowers fever). PARACETAMOL VIATRIS CONSEIL 1000 mg tablets are used to treat mild to moderate pain and/or fever in adults and children 16 years of age or older (or weighing more than 50 kg).

Tips for use

Always take this medicine exactly as described in this leaflet or as your doctor, pharmacist or nurse has told you. Check with your doctor, pharmacist or nurse if you are not sure. The recommended dose is: In adults and adolescents 16 years of age or older (or weighing more than 50 kg) The dosage is one half (1⁄2) to one tablet taken, if necessary to repeat every 4 to 6 hours (3 to 4 times a day) without exceeding 3 tablets (3000 mg) by 24 h. The tablets can be divided into equal doses. Treatment should preferably be started with the lowest possible effective dose (half a tablet). Do not take more than 1 tablet at a time.

Composition 

- The active substance is:

paracetamol................................................................................................................. 1000 mg for one tablet.

- The other ingredients are: sodium starch glycolate, povidone, pregelatinised maize starch, stearic acid.

Precautions for use

Take special care with DAFALGAN 1 g, film-coated tablet: Special warnings In case of overdose or mistakenly taking too high a dose, consult your doctor immediately. This medicine contains paracetamol. Other medicines contain it. Do not combine them, so as not to exceed the recommended daily dose (see chapter "How to take DAFALGAN 1 g, film-coated tablet"). Precautions for use If the pain persists for more than 5 days or the fever for more than 3 days, or in the event of insufficient efficacy or the appearance of any other sign, do not continue the treatment without the advice of your doctor. In case of severe liver or kidney disease, it is necessary to consult your doctor before taking paracetamol.

Contraindications

Do not take DAFALGAN 1 g, film-coated tablet in the following cases: - known allergy to paracetamol or to the other ingredients, - severe liver disease.

Pregnancy and breast feeding

Paracetamol, under normal conditions of use, can be used during pregnancy as well as during breast-feeding. Ask your doctor or pharmacist for advice before taking any medicine.
