Diclofenac 2% Gel - Anti-Inflammatory - Urgo - 30g

Description

Diclofenac is a non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug, derived from phenylacetic acid from the group of arylcarboxylic acids with local, anti-inflammatory and analgesic activity.

This medication is indicated as a short-term local treatment, in adults and adolescents from 15 years of age, in case of mild trauma, sprain (strain), contusion.

You should contact your doctor if you do not feel any improvement or if you feel worse after 4 days.

Tips for use

Do not use this gel in children (under 15 years).

1 application, 2 times a day (morning and evening preferably) on the painful area. The amount needed to apply depends on the size of the painful area: the dose administered at each application should not exceed 2.5 g of gel.

Make the gel penetrate by a gentle and prolonged massage on the painful or inflammatory area. After application:

- Hands should be wiped with paper towels (for example), then washed, unless it is the site to be treated. Paper towels should be thrown in the trash after use.

- Wait for DICLOFENAC URGO to dry before taking a shower or bath.

Precautions for use

There are limited data on the safety and efficacy in children and adolescents under 15 years of age (see section "Do not use DICLOFENAC URGO 2%, gel"). Other medicines and DICLOFENAC URGO 2%, gel Tell your doctor or pharmacist if you are taking or have recently taken any other medicines, including those obtained without a prescription. This medication contains Diclofenac. Other medications contain it, notably certain oral medications. Do not combine them, so as not to exceed the maximum recommended doses (see Dosage and Method of Administration).

Pregnancy, lactation and fertility If you are pregnant or breast-feeding, think you may be pregnant or are planning to have a baby, ask your doctor or pharmacist for advice before taking any medicines. Pregnancy Before the beginning of the 6th month of pregnancy (up to the 24th week of gestation), you should not take this medication unless absolutely necessary as determined by your doctor due to the potential risk of miscarriages or malformations. In this case, the dose should be as low as possible and the duration of treatment as short as possible. From the beginning of the 6th month until the end of pregnancy (beyond the 24th week of amenorrhea), this medication is contraindicated, you must IN NO CASE take this medication, because its effects on your child can have serious or even fatal consequences, especially on the heart, the lungs and/or the kidneys, and this even with a single intake. If you have taken this medicine while pregnant, talk to your obstetrician-gynaecologist immediately so that appropriate monitoring can be offered if necessary.

The other ingredients are: isopropyl alcohol, propylene glycol (E1520), cocoyl caprylocaprate, liquid paraffin, carbomer, macrogol cetostearyl ether, diethylamine, oleic acid (E570), butylhydroxytoluene (E321), perfume, purified water.
