Omeprazole 20mg - Heartburn - Acid Reflux - Viatris - 14 capsules

Description

This medication is indicated for the short-term treatment of the symptoms of gastroesophageal reflux disease (e.g., heartburn, acid regurgitation) in adults (18 years of age and older). Gastroesophageal reflux disease is the backflow of stomach acid into the esophagus, which can become inflamed and painful.

This condition can cause symptoms such as a burning sensation in the chest extending up to the throat (heartburn) and a sour taste in the mouth (acid regurgitation). Acid reflux and heartburn may resolve after one day of treatment with Omeprazole Viaris Advice 20 mg gastro-resistant capsules.

However, this medication is not intended to provide immediate relief. It may be necessary to continue treatment for 2 or 3 consecutive days for symptoms to improve.

Directions for Use

The recommended dose is 1 capsule per day. It is recommended to take OMEPRAZOLE VIATRIS CONSEIL before meals:

· In the morning if symptoms are more prevalent during the day;

· In the evening if symptoms are more prevalent at night.

Contraindications

Do not take OMEPRAZOLE VIATRIS CONSEIL 20 mg gastro-resistant capsules:

If you are under 18 years of age; · If you are allergic to omeprazole or any of the other ingredients of this medicine; · If you are taking a medicine containing nelfinavir (used to treat HIV infection).

Composition

· The active ingredient is: omeprazole ................................................................................................................................ 20 mg per gastro-resistant capsule.

· The other ingredients are: sucrose, maize starch, methacrylic acid and ethyl acrylate copolymer (1:1), hypromellose (E464), talc, triethyl citrate, titanium dioxide (E171), disodium phosphate dihydrate. Capsule shell: gelatin, titanium dioxide (E171), printing ink.
