Modane - Occasional Constipation - 20 Coated Tablets

Description

This medicine is a stimulant laxative. It stimulates intestinal evacuation. It is recommended for occasional constipation.

Directions for use

1 to 2 coated tablets to be swallowed without chewing in the evening at bedtime. This treatment should only be taken for a short period (maximum 8 to 10 days). If the effect of the treatment is insufficient, do not increase the dose, nor prolong the use of the medicine, but ask your doctor for advice.

Composition

The active ingredients are Dry alcoholic extract of Senna ....................................................................................................... 26.00 mg

Quantity corresponding to Sennoside B at ....................................................................................... 11.70 mg

Calcium pantothenate ................................................................................................................ 12.50 mg

For one coated tablet.

The other ingredients are: Lactose, polyvidone, microcrystalline cellulose, modified maize starch, colloidal anhydrous silica, hydrated silica, talc, magnesium stearate, film-forming solution of shellac and polyvidone*, sucrose, gelatine, gum arabic, polysorbate 80, pigment concentrate red**, carnauba wax.

*Composition of the shellac and polyvidone film-forming solution = shellac, polyvidone K 30.

**Composition of the red pigment concentrate = titanium dioxide, orange yellow S aluminium lake, new coccine aluminium lake, saccharose, sodium benzoate.

Precautions for use

This medicine is not recommended for breast-feeding women. This medicine may cause potassium loss. Combination with other medicines (such as certain diuretics or heart medicines) may be dangerous. This medicine should not be used in patients with galactose or fructose intolerance, lapp lactase deficiency, glucose or galactose malabsorption syndrome or sucrase/isomaltase deficiency (rare hereditary diseases).
