It is used in the treatment of constipation, especially when the stool accumulates in the rectum and repeated pushes do not allow it to be evacuated. It is also used to prepare the rectum before an endoscopic examination (proctoscopy).
Method of administration Rectal route. Dosage The laxative effect occurs after a delay of 5 to 30 minutes. Adult: 1 Adult suppository per day, to be renewed within the following hour in the event of stubborn constipation. Child: 1 Child suppository per day, to be renewed within the following hour in the event of rebellious constipation. Infant: 1 or 2 infant suppositories per day. Duration of the treatment
