Precautions for Use This medicine can aggravate existing hepatic encephalopathy. Use with caution if you suffer from liver or kidney disease. If in doubt, consult your doctor or pharmacist. Contra-indications Do NOT use if: – you are allergic to DL-Methionine, anhydrous cysteine chloride or any of this medicine's other ingredients; – you suffer from metabolic acidosis (acidification of the blood due to certain diseases); or – you suffer from homocystinuria (a hereditary disorder of the metabolism of amino acids).
