Spike lavender is a shrub found in Spain, France and southern England. It loves the areas of small mountains, with a Mediterranean climate, where it grows in bushes. The blue or purple flowers are fragrant and emit a smell less appreciated than true lavender, because more camphorated.
The essential oil of spike lavender is known for its antitoxic, healing, anti-inflammatory and analgesic properties.
